OK.. here's the crux..

I've a recent (2007) 'baby' White MacBook without the SuperDrive, but with iMovie HD and iDVD etc.

I've an 'old' (2004) PowerBook G4 with a SuperDrive, but with an old version of iMovie (and iDVD that won't work on the version on Leopard)

Both are running latest versions of Leopard

Can I network the two laptops so that iDVD on the MacBook 'sees' the SuperDrive on the PowerBook and allows me to burn a DVD?

Haven't had a chance to try yet - just 'borrowing' an Ethernet cable from work but just wondered if there are any pointers re set up etc (or am I wasting my time entirely?)

(Note - think I will be upgrading iLife anyway, but need to do something pretty sharpish for my Dad's birthday surprise and damn me forgot and spent ages compiling it on the MacBook yesterday)

Not sure if iLife will do it, but if you have Toast it will work. Your best bet though would be to 'Save as Disc image" in iDVD and then transfer the resulting file over to the machine with the burner.
