Can I still upgrade to iOS 7?

We have 10 iPads that are on iOS 6. We have now got approval to use them on iOS 7 (can't use iOS 8 yet as it's not approved for UK public sector use).

I know you can't downgrade from iOS 8 to iOS 7 but can you still upgrade from iOS 6 to iOS 7? I can get the iOS 7 IPSW files if needed but will they install ok?

Your only choice is to go to iOS 8 or stay where you are. No versions of iOS 7 are being signed for iPads.

The OS still needs to be signed by Apple.

As Chrfr said, if the OS is not signed by Apple, you cannot restore it. The only OS's currently being signed are iOS 8.0.2 and I believe iOS 8.0 may still be signed.

We'd never upgrade our iPad Mini to iOS8, but were, finally, considering iOS 7!
