I have the AW3 with LTE and love being able to roam without the phone. I don't have any immediate plans to ditch the cell service, but I'm wondering if it's possible?

We were looking to buy one for work for testing and may not want the cell plan indefinitely - maybe only for a few months. Apple says you need a cell plan with the LTE watch. But what if I told the provider to stop? Would it all still work?

The watch is provisioned to the same line as your cell if I understood it correctly. You get rid of your phone you get rid of your line.

This question has been asked and answered numerous times here. The answer is yes -- you do not have to have an active cell plan for your AW3 LTE in order for the watch to work. If you cancel, you would have a fully functioning watch but just without the LTE.

If and when mine comes in I’m not even activating LTE. See no reason to in my case. Not sure if it will ever ship to worry about though.
