Can I stream wireless content to apple tv?

Hi I am going to buy a mba 13 i5, and I need to be able to connect wirelesly to a projector. I am doing that right now with my toshiba r700 laptop and the netgear adapter for widi. Can I do the same with a MBA and Apple TV via Airplay? I want to see everything in the projector/external monitor, not just itunes content.

I'm pretty sure you can only stream video and photos from your iPhone,iPad or iPod Touch.

It may be possible if you jailbreak it and install XMB (I think that's what it's called), but again I think that just always access to BBC iPlayer and things like that.

I want to have the macbook air with a browser and watch that in a projector (hooked up with an apple tv) is this possible?. Thanks in advance
