In Iphoto, is there anyway to take out certain photos and just place them on an external HD? Not my whole library. Just certain pictures. I don't want to just "hide" them either.

So I'd still have the photos for storage for the future but just not on the computer.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Right click on iPhoto Library -> Show Package Contents -> Originals

Macintosh HD -> Users -> username -> Pictures -> iPhoto Library

then copy the pictures you need to an external hard drive.

Just drag and drop the photos you want from within iPhoto on to your external HD.

You can drag and drop direct from iPhoto to your external HD
You can make a photo album of certain pics and drag over to your HD (that why you can keep them grouped on your external)
Don't open the iPhoto library. Not recommended. Any photo you want, you can get to it from iPhoto itself. If you want the original, just right click on the photo and "revert to original".
