iPod touch Can I update my iPod to ios4 on someone elses computer?

Hi! My itouch 2nd gen is synced to my moms laptop and I haven't used it in a long time so I changed the setting so that I can manage music on my sisters laptop, I was wondering since I'm not synced to my sisters laptop is it still possible to update the firmware on her laptop? Or do I have to sync it to her laptop for it to work?

If your iPod shows up in your sister's itunes, and there's an update button, you should be able to update it. Update does not automatically do a sync.
