Hi.
I have a iBook G4 running with Panther. A friend of mine has a Mac Book running Tiger.
can I upgrade from panther to tiger using my friend's computer installation cd? Or the installation cd can only be used in one computer?

well you shouldnt really use his disc even if it would work - but it probably wont work unless he has got a retail version of leopard. this is because the retail version has the drivers for all the computers, where as the one that comes with a machine has drivers just for that machine.

No, those discs will only work in that model MacBook. Stop being cheap and buy Tiger if you want it.

Actually, they won't work at all.

...it's the economics crise!
So, now that I know that I really have to buy a new operating system, just let me know if my iBook G4 1.2GHz 1.25 GB RAM, will work well with the Leopard or if the Tiger is the most smart choice?

Tiger will be better for you.
