I know I can replace the LCD but can I use an LCD with a 1680x1050 resolution instead of The Worlds Worst LCD™ thats stuck in it now? iFixit has some 1680 panels but I cant tell if they are compatible since they dont explicitly say they are or arent. The speed of the computer is still fine for what I use it for (web), I just have always hated the ridiculously low resolution, even when it was new the resolution for a 15" laptop was laughable, a higher res LCD + SSD should make the computer feel like new.

Has anyone done this to the 15" 1440x900 MBPs?

Do you really think the 1440X900 in the 09 15 is “the worlds worst LCD” ?

For just surfing the web? Seriously ?

Have you ever used an 09 13in for comparison ?

I have an old 09 15 that I use for basic internet stuff .

I think its a beautiful display.

If your 15inch came with an option of high res anti glare then i suppose you could fit that but i have no clue if both the connectors are the same.
