Hi,

first time here, so sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I have a jailbroken 3GS 4.3.3, which I recently updated to 5.1 using redsn0w via custom ipsW, so baseband was reserved.

the problem with that was that I could not get it unlocked and that it was tethered jailbreak..

tried to do the same to get iOS 5.0.1 but could not and my phone just refused to boot anymore.

Luckily I had my 4.3.3 SHSH blobs saved so I downgraded to that.

I then queried tinyumbrella and found out that 5.0.1 SHSH is available for my model.

Can I upgrade to 5.0.1 without touching my baseband?

Thanks

If you have your shsh including the APTicket you should be able to create a custom NO_BB ipsw with your shsh/apticket stiched to it.

Download stock 5.01
With redsn0w in extra's make a custom ipsw, it will look like NO_BB....

With that again in redsn0w extra's go to shsh
NoW select stich
Select the NO_BB ipsw
It will now create a second custom ipsw stiched with your shsh/apticket
Use that to ALT-restore (mac) or SHIFT-restore (win) in itunes
