Can I use '10 mbp3 prong extender with this charger?

I just got a macbook in space grey and was wondering if i can use the 3 prong cable from my 2010 macbook pro on this charger or do I need to get one specific for the macbook?

If your question is whether any "figure 8" electrical cord can be plugged into the charger block to extend the distance from the wall plug, the answer is yes. You're not required to use the charger as a wall wart.
