As long as they're higher-wattage, which they are. If it's higher wattage, the computer will only draw what it needs. If it's lower wattage, the computer should operate, but most likely will not charge.
Unless they've added some sort of firmware barrier, you can use it. My iBook originally came with a 35 watt adapter, but I got a 45 to replace it and it works perfectly fine (runs cooler, too. The adapter, not the computer).

You're right, unless firmware disallows it, which would be rather ridiculous if you ask me, it should only draw what it needs and therefore work fine. Let us know how it goes Nosen.
The short answer is that you can. My friends come over and use mine all the time. I have a MBP and they have MBs. It works the other way too, but I worry about it overdrawing so I don't do it often.
