I've read so much conflicting information that I honestly don't know what the correct answer is anymore. I have an iPhone X purchased through Apple, paid in full and since unlocked, that I want to give to my Mom. My mom uses Sprint, and from everything I'm reading, the X should work on Sprint, but only with 4G data speeds.

Is that correct? If so, do I need a different SIM card from Sprint?

Sorry for asking a question that I'm sure has been answered a hundred times.

No, the AT&T iPhone X lacks the cdma radio required for service on sprints network.

If you’re ever interested in using that iPhone with Verizon? LTE only has been phenomenal. I cannot remember the last time my iPhone dropped to 3G... and I’ve had my iPhone X for a year now.

iPhone X Qualcomm w/ CDMA capabilities but useless if it’s never used.

You bought your iPhone from Apple, check the model number because Apple usually sales the sim unlock universal iPhone and when you insert your AT&T sim it locks it to them. If it is the universal model it will work on Sprint just like if it was a Sprint iPhone.

Model is MQAN2LL/A, which according to Google, is the ATT specific version.

Tap on the model number it will change to either A1865 or A1901, the A1865 is the global model and A1901 works on GSM models only (AT&T and T-Mobile).
