Can I use an old MBP power adapter with the new unibody?

I have a power adapter from a MBP which was over 2 years old. Can I use that same adapter with the new unibody MBP? I have two, so I'd like to string one neatly through my desk, and use the other when I use my computer away from the desk.

from the original debut up until now the MBP has always used an 85w charger. New to old the charger will work.

Yep. I've used a 60W MacBook charger as well when I can't find my MBP two.

Well seeing as using the 85 watt adapter without the battery cuts the CPU in half, I wouldn't recommend using the computer without the battery anyways.
