Can I use bluetooth headset for Skype?

I have a 12in g4 pb.

I would like to buy a headset to use skype. I noticed that some bluetooth headsets are sold with usb adapters. but pb's already have bluetooth. can i buy any old bluetooth (cellphone type) headset and just use the bt connection with my computer for skype?

I'm doing this right now on my Macbook Pro. But a word of warning; the sound quality on the other end is very poor. It may be due to my headset, but others have explained to me that because of the date being transfered from the headset to the computer and then over the internet, sound quality is doomed to be poor. When just using the internal mic and speakers I get no complaints on the other end.

great - thanks, that's really helpful. do you have any experience, then, with the ones that are plugged in via usb? (do you happen to know if they work any better?)
