I upgraded to a 3G phone, and still have my 1st Gen phone.

this has probably been asked loads of times, so sorry if I missed the thread... I did look first before posting this ....

can I use both phones?.... if the 3G hypothetically developed a problem and needed to be sent away, could I just put the SIM card into my original 2G phone, plug into iTunes and use it as normal until my 3G came back to me?

yeah, that would work

alternativly, if you put your SIM in the 2G, activate it, and take the SIM out, put in 3G, you'll pay the 2G price while having all the features of 3G.
