I am thinking of buying a Dell U2311 for use with my Macbook Pro 2.2 GHz.

Is this a good display for my computer? Any problems I might have?

If I buy this monitor, what cables will I need to connect it? I have the DVI adapter that came with my MBP but it is really short. I'll probably need some type of extension cable correct?

Just want to use for casual web browsing, some video, etc. Just basic home use type stuff.

Thanks for any information you can offer.

"DVI adapter"? You mean the DVI to VGA adapter that came with your MacBook Pro? (I believe they used to ship them with the laptops back then?) You shouldn't need that.. The MacBook Pro 2.2 Ghz is pre-unibody, so the graphics card has a DVI connection. The monitor should come with a DVI cable and you just plug it into the DVI connection on your Macbook Pro, done. ;)
