I've just had my iPad 2 replaced under Apple warranty.
I have a backup from my old device , an iPad 2 4.3.3 which was jailbroken.
My new device is obviously 5.0 so is therefore NOT JB.
Can I just restore from the JB backup ?
My contacts/calendars/mails are all on Google so it's more the convenience of not having to install all the apps again and copy over several files - audiobooks etc

Yes you can and it'll work fine :)

Obviously it won't restore the jailbreak (or any jailbreak tweaks/apps), but all your app store apps and their data/settings will be restored

THx for that !
I thought that was the case when I searched around but wanted confirmation before I did it.

To be honest, the only apps which I miss are SBSettings and Lockcalendar so I *may* not JB when it arrives 'next week' .
;-)
