Can I use "Mac" within a business name legally?

Thinking about making mustaches for the Apple logo on MacBooks, iMacs, iPads, etc.

As for a name, I was thinking FancyMacs(because mustaches make things fancy right?) or Macstaches.

Just curious if using the word "mac" within a name is legal or not - any ideas?

IMO, Macstaches sounds better and provides a clearer image of your company/ product.

I don't think you'll run into trouble using the Mac prefix like that.

I'm not a lawyer, so have no valid opinion about whether or not you can use Mac.... but I like Macstache better. Now that you've put the "word" out there I'd grab the domain name before takes it, and then offers to sell it back to you.
 
Do you guys think Macstache.com or Macstaches.com would be better? I'm kind of torn.

edit: going with Macstache.com, thanks again for the input.

If you can afford it it probably wouldn't hurt to buy both and have your site at one and the other redirect to your site.

I do, here are some preliminary ones. Just drawn very quickly in illustrator and cut - final ones will be better looking(and hopefully applied straight).:)

Thanks a lot for the support guys, I appreciate it. I'm working on the website right now - just going to use a bigcartel site until I have the time to build a full website.

Just looked at the site it's pretty cool. I may have to buy one soon :) I assume it works with non-Apple laptops as I may buy one for my gaming laptop and MBA.

:) Thanks. I'm sure it will work with your MBA, I don't know about your gaming laptop though...;)

I'd love to see people get creative with the placement of these thing on other devices/obscure places and posting them on the macstache facebook.
