Can I use MBP without the glass?

Let's say that I have a 2012 13.3" MBP and the glare is giving me headaches, I tried the Moshi Ivisor, ugh, and finally pulled it off, I cannot get service from Techrestore since I am in Canada, and I cannot find a compatible matte screen...

...ugliness aside, will using a glass free mbp be feasible until I have another solution if I am careful not to touch it? Or is dust a big issue?

Please don't ask me to wear sunglasses, lol.
