Can I Use My $100 Store Credit for iPhone 3G?

I was a launch day purchaser (and I still have my original iPhone by the way) who received a $100 Apple Store Credit (in addition to a $100 credit from American Express) when they lowered the price to $399 from $599.


I have never used the $100 credit.


Do you think I can use the credit to get the new version for $99???



If so, I'll give one to my spouse. Since GPS and 3G don't excite me, I'm not sure which one I'll keep yet.

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure there is nothing preventing you from using it to purchase a new iPhone.

If they didn't put a limitation on it to buy an iPhone, which they didn't, then there's no reason that you wouldn't be able to. I'd call ahead to make sure that they'll let you first, though.

ya i dont see why you wouldnt be able to use it. but how do you still have your $100??? I blew mine like a week after they announced it on a new router
