Can I use my existing cellular data plan on a new iPad 4g? (AT&T)

Hello, I am looking into a new iPad 32gb with wifi and AT&T 4g, but I already have 2gb of data on my iPhone plan, I am wondering if I can ask for a copy of my sim card from AT&T and then pop that into my iPad and use my cellular data. If anybody knows if this would work or not or if they have done it, advice and help is appreciated.

from what i have read, it is not possible on ATT. the verizon guys can do it though.

I would call AT&T and ask them.
