Can I use my iPhone Classic ("2G", non-jailbroken) in Russia? And does it matter if I keep my current/AT&T SIM card in there? A co-worker told me that when he travels to Russia, he simply buys a local prepaid SIM card, swaps his with the local one, and then uses his phone on a local network. When he returns to the US, he swaps the Russian pre-paid SIM card with his own.

Does anybody know if you can do this with an iPhone?

thanks!!
