Can i use my sim on iOs 8 with old R sim 9 Pro chip??

Hi guys. I m using iPhone 5 Gevey (O2 UK) with R-Sim 9 Pro on iOS 7.1.2. I want to upgrade my phone to iOS 8. Can I use my sim on iOS 8 with the same chip i m currently using?? Will there any baseband problem??
