I'm guessing that this is one of those newb questions, but...

I'm looking to do live-streaming with two cameras. (So, yeah, I'll need software for my MacBook Pro, but that's a different topic altogether.) Right now, I have an iPhone XR with service from Verizon, and I'm liking the video quality on the phone.

I noticed on the Verizon site that I'm within a couple hundred bucks of paying off the XR, and it got me thinking. Could I buy out the XR and take it off of my Verizon account, buy a new 11 Pro (or 11 Pro Max) and attach that to my Verizon contract, and then only use the XR for livestreaming through Wi-Fi?

That way, I figured, I wouldn't be doing all my phone usage from my live-streaming 'cam', I'd have a new 11 Pro, and I could use either or both phones for live-streaming.

Does that make sense?

Also, would I want or need my XR to be unlocked after I buy it out?

Thanks!

And yes, unlocked is desirable if you want to sell it or gift it to someone else.
