My sister's power adapter for PowerBook G3/333 has just died and curious if I can use the one for the old PowerBook 2400 instead?

I've just contacted Apple to replace that officially defective power unit for free, but I hate to see my sister with no computer :(

The connecter size is the same, but the power specs are a little different. I guess that 10W difference is too much?

The one for PBG3/333:
24V/1.87A/34W

The one for PB2400/180
24V/1.5A/24W

She tried to plug the one for 2400 and her G3 didn't recongnize juice coming in from the adapter.
