Hey I' running a 24" 2.9Ghz imac with Leopard, and Windows XP Pro SP2 on Bootcamp specifically for gaming.
I want to play racing games like NASCARS and V8 Supercars, but I want to use a steering wheel instead of the keyboard, racing's just not the same without a steering wheel and pedals.

The reason I'm having doubts is my M-Audio interface works fine through OS-X but not through XP because there is no support from the drivers through bootcamp, so I don't wanna spend money on something that could quite possibly not work.

Also, if it does work through bootcamp, does anyone know of a steering wheel that will work on both computer and PS3, I can't find one but if it exists that would be sweet

If it has a Windows driver and a compatible connector like USB the product will work. Driver will come from the manufacturer site.

I use the USB Logitech MOMO FF wheel (see pic below) when racing along in Boot Camp, either Window XP and Vista (...and Mac OS X).

Just get the standard Windows Logitech gaming software, and install the newest version.

Just like you would on a normal PC.

Fun thing about this wheel is that it works perfectly with Force Feedback also in Mac OS X when playing racing games like Race Driver 3, Nascar 2003 (PPC), etc. :)

Yeah I'm running Nascar racing 03 with a logitech G25 wheel on boot camp.

I now have windows 7 through Boot camp but they worked on XP as well

Thanks CT,
are there any drivers that the game needs in particular? or just make sure that windows XP is updated?

IT quits as soon as the music starts..
thanks
J

thats interesting, for me it worked straight away with just the game, but there is 1 update available for the game, I think I got it from Gamespot.com.

I have a problem with sound in the menu's, everything echo's. I don't know why, but in car everything's fine.

If you can get to the audio settings menu. Make sure you tick the box "3D audio" or something like that, apparently it get's really laggy if that's not ticked, so that might be the problem.

One more thing, when I had XP and did an update some things stopped working, not sure if anyone else had that problem but that's why I switched to 7
