Can I use the Apple Remote with my Powerbook?

I have the latest rev of the 17" powerbook and if I have the Front Row hack software, can I use the remote to control it? Or is it not bluetooth and something else?? Thanks!

People have hacked frontrow on their powerbooks to run off there phones but you need an infa red port on the machine to use an apple remote.

Nah, it's IR. There's a little thing under my right arm that reads everything coming from the remote.

As said above you need an IR (Infra red) receptor to use the apple remote. So far only the macbooks, imacs (Intel+G5), and amcbooks pros have had this capability.
