Hi I pre-ordered the new iPad in the US. I am going to Paris for 6 months, and I was wondering if I can use the 4G network in France with the USA model.

If not, then can I use the 3G network with the new iPad?

I'm confused.. please help me!

Yes. You can insert any GSM sim card into your AT&T New iPad device, and use it worldwide. This is actually a SIM FREE device!! You will not be able to enjoy the 4G capabilities, where they're not available. Just 3G.

Yes if you have AT&T. I'm not sure if it works on Verizon. If you are getting a French bank account, go with SFR as they have the best deals, but if you're going the prepaid route, Orange has the best rates.

Both Verizon and AT&T models are SIM-unlocked for use abroad on GSM networks.
