I have a question regarding my late 09 iMac.

I record with my Sony HDR-CX150 and usually run the HDMI out on my camera to my LCD tv so that i can monitor myself while recording. I was wondering could i plug the HDMI cord into a display port to HDMI adapter and use my iMac's Screen?

I looked online and it says the Late 2009 iMacs support video in via the display port. I am just wondering though if this can be done or not before i buy an adapter.

Thanks

Yes you can! There are numerous mini displayport to HDMI adaptors out there! I work at an Apple reseller and we sell Belkin's at our shop, they also fit on Thunderbolt ports!

Those are NOT bi-directional. They go from MDP to HDMI, the OP wants HDMI to MDP, thus the need for a converter box.
