I am wondering if wiping a MacBook trackpad is ok with an isopropyl alcohol wipe. I wiped my trackpad with it and the alcohol evaporated in two minutes with out wiping it off. Will this affect my trackpad. Will it mess up the coating?

I never use alcohol on any of my devices, it wrecks oleophobic coatings. I don't know whether or not the trackpad has a coating on it, but I'm sure it's at least treated with something (?)

I use water and a paper towel to clean, and it always does the job. No need for chemicals.

Never had any issues with isopropyl alcohol. If you are pouring from a bottle, make sure to dispense on a cloth first to prevent accidental spills

The trackpad is glass and there is no coating. It’s very safe.
