Can ibooks created content be used in an iOS app?

I'm building an application that involves learning/rewards for teenagers. Ideally, I'd like to use iBooks Author to create the content/interactions and embed it into a regular iOS application so it can be accessed on iPhone, iPod, iPad.

Does anyone know if this is possible?
