Sorry if this sounds like a newbie question, but is there now a way to use an icon to replace an app icon on your homescreen without using the siri shortcuts? If so, how?

1). I love the customization of IOS 14, but it gets annoying to press the new icon and have a delay, have the app launch, but also have the siri shortcut menu launch.

2). It seems like now, all the apps in the app store for customizing your icons seem to bypass this so that when you replace your icon, it is almost intantaneous without seeming to initiate siri. How is this done?

Thanks for any help

As I recall there are some changes around that in iOS 14.3 (which should be coming out in the near future):
