Can iMac display a PC with a DisplayPort out?

Looking at building a PC,

Would like to be able to use my iMac (late 2010) as a monitor for it.

I know the iMac will display content from a GPU that has a Mini-DP out,

What about a GPU with Just regular DisplayPort?

Not sure if a Displayport>Mini-DP Cable will work, anyone know?

I'm considering buying an nVidia GTX 670 but it only has DisplayPort, not Mini-DP.

It should work with a Displayport to MDP adapter.

Get a DisplayPort to mini-DisplayPort adapter and it'll work.

Did it work? If so, did you get full 2560x1440?
