Can ios 4.0 be unlocked yet?

Is there a way of unlocking ios 4.0 yet? Or downgrading it to 3.1.3 and then unlocking it from there?

Good point. Are you talking about jailbreaking the OS (to run unofficial apps), or unlocking the baseband (for use with non-official SIMs)?

If you have your 3.1.3 SHSH saved, then you will be able to downgrade to 3.1.3, jailbreak with Spirit, and unlock with ultrasn0w. If you do not have your SHSH saved, you will have to wait for the upcoming jailbreak before you can unlock.

Note: if you do not know what SHSH are, search. There are plenty of threads on here that will tell you what you need to know.

Well you need to still provide more info. First has it even been jailbroken? If it has at what firmwares? And did you save your SHSH's. If you don't know what SHSH's are you need to look it up while your in the process of finding out (searching) for a way to find out which bootrom you have.
