I put my new Iphone 13pro without case on a plastic lamp with wireless charger and moving the phone front and back many times trying to find the wireless spot and realized the cameras are touching and rubbing against the plastic. Is it possible I scratched it this way? And how to properly check and find out if there is no scratch? Are all scratches easily visible to normal eye? Thanks!

The camera lenses are made of a very tough material, Saphire crystal if I remember correctly, and cannot scratch easily. If you don’t see scratches with your eyes I wouldn’t be concerned.

Agreed with the above. A plastic should not scratch the camera lens at all, unless you had something similar to that of a sapphire laying around the charging area.

get a microscope. see all the scratches, and perpetually exchange it at your local apple store.

its definitely worth the effort, trust me.
no need to be ironic, i never had a phone like that so wanted to know what can scratch the cameras and what not, so i can be careful next time. The cameras are really not protected at all when u dont have a case on it, and whenever you put it on table or any surface and move you are pretty much rubbing them against the area, is that really safe on every surface? impossible to scratch? not sure, but i doubt. so wanted to know from someone who has knowledge or experience.

I don't get the question about how to look for a scratch? ?
if i can see it easily with naked eye, or need a special light or some tool to see it properly...like what ppl in apple stores quality check do in order to make sure for example that open box iphone cameras or screens are not scratched and the iphone can be restocked as a new open box condition...

But if you don't see it, why bother?

Apple doesn't sell "open box" items. They are inspected, fixed if necessary, and sold as refurbished.
that was just example, my point was not to know how they resell them, my point was, how do they inspect the scratches, just simply by looking at it or under some light or what tool they use for it to make sure its a good condition.

I don’t think apple would have time to inspect all of them if they are manufacturing on a mass production level. But when users get them and find scratches, usually under certain angles, they’d be able to find one as it catches the light. But the camera lens I would not worry about scratching.

in case you cant see it with naked eye but there could still be scratch then photos could be not as clear as they should be. i can still return the phone but its so much hassle so just want to make sure its ok. just the design of the cameras is little bit weird to me, as anytime you put it on table and move without cover the camera glass is touching and rubbing the surface and i dont feel there is any protection and i find it strange.

If you use the mohs scale of hardness, you would realize that plastic can’t scratch glass.

Your assumption about scratched lenses is false. Small scratches have little to no effect on images. Small scratches would have no effect. Larger ones would name little to no effect depending on several factors. There have been aware-winning photos taken with scratches lenses. If you have to use a magnifying glass or some other extreme technique to locate a micro scratch, that scratch will not affect your image quality. My advise, Stop obsessing and enjoy the new toy!! Life’s too short.
