Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum!

I have seen this question asked in here with no replies, so I am hoping someone can clarify...

So you can run iTunes on a NAS drive and access it without the use of a Mac/PC with the likes of Roku Soundbridge. Can you do this with the iPhone?

If not, is this something a clever software developer can come up with, or are there hardware limitations?

Thanks,

Dave*

Thanks for the reply TEG.

When you say 'As long as iTunes is running', do you mean on a Mac/PC?

If I run an iTunes server type arrangement on a suitable NAS (QNAP or similar) and I can access/stream the tunes to the iPhone without a computer?

As long as iTunes is active on either computer, then the iPhone can access it. Otherwise, the music is just sitting on the hard drive.
