Can iPhoto do Events inside of Events?

Everything I've read says no, but I thought I'd ask to be sure.

I would like to have Events, with "Sub Events" in them.

Example. Event: Wedding. Inside the "Wedding" event are "Procession", "Vows", "Cutting the Cake", and "Reception".

Why: My "Events" window is getting too cumbersome to manage. I'm looking at moving to Aperture, but I'm not sure if that screws up all the great integration I get from iPhoto into iLife.

I don't even know if Aperture would do what I want.

I'm so confused! Do I need Lightroom instead?

It sounds like you need folders, aka albums, to do this properly.
