Hello,

i am admittedly a picassa fan. my favorite feature of picassa is the ability to monitor a folder and constantly keep the images updated as viewed in picassa.

is there a way for iphoto to do this?

if so, if there a way for iphoto to do this with certain folders, not with others?

thanks,
r.

This is a difficult question because iPhoto is not going to work the same way as Picasa. If you're stuck on having your own folder structure and organizing your photos that way, you're never going to like iPhoto.

iPhoto is a visual photo organizer, and it will organize your photos far better than any folder structure you can come up with, if you make use of its features.

Its not really going to do what you're asking. But you can choose an external editor and make changes to photos in that editor (say photoshop) and iPhoto will recognize the file modifications.
