My Tiger computer has finally given up the ghost and I am just about to purchase the new Lion.

Is it a case of just removing the leads and putting them into the New Lion Computer or am going to have to go back and start a new all over again, when I purchased my first Apple computer ?

Tiger to lion is a huge step! All your Applications will need updating. Just use you backup (now you understand you should have backed up your data) and use /Applications/Utilities/Migration Assistant and get you data, picture & music from the backup.

Let this be a lesson to you to ALWAYS BACKUP!
