I've been battling issues with Universal Control disconnecting between my M2 Pro Mac Mini and M1 MacBook Pro since I got the Mini two years ago. Universal Control had worked wonderfully between the MBP and an older 27" Intel iMac I had.

I'd pretty much given up this ever working properly.

Then I got a pair of AirPods Max over the holidays and noticed that I would intermittently get audio glitches and dropouts between the Mini and the headphones and this got me researching what could cause these bluetooth issues.

I ran across a few posts where the issue was resolved by placing the Mini vertically, on a stand, so that the BT antenna in its base has better reception.

I did that yesterday and so far, I have not had a single BT audio dropout and Universal Control has remained connected.

It is absolutely bonkers that this might have fixed it and extremely disappointing that Apple would have such a glaring design defect in the product.

I was even considering getting an M4 Pro Mini or an M4 Max Studio but who knows if those have similar issues.
