Can it stand on its side?

Hi,

One of the greatest benefits I get from the 13" Retina MacBook Pro is the ability to put it on its side on bed.

Can the 12" Macbook do the same?
Or is it too thin?

Of course it can, but it might tip over easier because of it's lighter weight. Thinness has nothing to do with it.
