Can late 2009 iMac support 64GB Sdxc cards?

Going to pick up a microsd 64GB (with SD adapter) to put in my Samsung G S3. Have iMac late 2009.

Originally only mid iMac 2010 supported SDXC? But from what I read starting with 10.6.5 all Mac with SD readers supper SDXC capacities?
