I'm still using iLife 09 (2009, which is version 8). I just got a SSD and noticed that iPhoto and iMovie still can be a big sluggish, but still much better than before. I have 4GB RAM. I never upgraded to iLife 11 but am tempted to get the latest and greatest version of iPhoto and iMovie since I'm using them more now. But they look like big downloads...I have the space but worry the late 2009 Macbook can't keep up with it. What do you guys think? And they are 64-bit...is that meaningful on a 4-year old laptop? Thanks.

Quick update - the answer is Yes, and iPhoto runs very quickly, no more beach balls. Maybe its the 64-bit thing that helped.
