Hi. I'm just curious to see if they embedded this functionality with Lidar. It should work also on selfie camera as it also have Lidar... Waiting your feedback. Thx!

No, not there. maybe it could be done with 3rd party camera app but builtin doesn't do that.

Who uses the same lidar. It's the LG V60. Therfore it should be. Try taking a portrait then go in the gallery app and search for 3D option. Thx.

Why should it be? It's a software feature, which differs from manufacturer to manufacturer. It's like expecting an iPhone to have SamsungPay just because it has a NFC module.

It's a software feature, you have this on Facebook (3d image or something like that), it works most of the time, but sometimes it processes a part of the image that it doesn't have info on so it makes it blurry.

The V60 doesn’t have LiDAR (nor does it have any other depth sensor), meaning it doesn’t use it to achieve this. If someone cared enough they could create this effect with an app but it seems gimmicky so why bother?

Are you sure about these things?

The V60 has a ToF sensor, which is basically the same as LiDAR.

The ToF sensor has about 10x higher resolution than Apple's LiDAR however.

I also knew that LG V60 has the flood illuminator, not just the depth sensor...
