Can Lion (10.7.5) see a external 4TB sata drive

If i have a USB 3 dock (optimized for SSD as well) and i plug it into my 2010 iMac i7 with 10.7.5 will it work?

i ordered a seagate desktop Hdd 4tb drive from ebay and so far "no go" in a chinese dual "usb 2" dock, one of those from china with the SD and other little card adopter slots

now i am waiting for the usb 3 (ssd optimized) external doc to come, this one is compatible with sata i/ii/ and iii as well,

cross my fingers cause i spent around 250 dollars so far.

My external toshiba 3tb works fine in 10.7, 8, and 9.
