Hello,

I'm a digital music newbie and I want to start using Traktor DJ Studio 3.

I do have read the sticky "DJing on the Mac" thread at the top of this forum but I still have some doubts about it.

Here's the comparison between "What I need" @ DJing on the Mac and what I have:

DJing on the Mac VS my hardware:

SOFTWARE: Traktor DJ Studio 3

EXTERNAL SOUND CARDS: M-Audio FireWire 410

HEADPHONES: Sony MDR-V700

MIDI CONTROLLERS: here comes the issue. I have a 25-key M-Audio O2 keyboard, which is also a MIDI controller. I have bought it because, in the past, I wanted to use it with Ableton Live, but my experience with it was a failure.

I have also analogic hardware: 2 Pioneer CDJ-100S, 1 Pioneer DJM-400 mixer (used only as an output for the FireWire 410) and an Alesis airFX.

So my question is:

Can my M-Audio O2 MIDI controller be used in combination with Traktor 3 ?

In the past, I used its 8 knobs for CHANNEL 2 VOLUME - CH. 2 LOW - CH. 2 MID - CH.2 HIGH and the same for ch. 1.

Here's a pic of it: http://www.harmony-central.com/Newp/2004/O2-top-lg.jpg

Sure you can. Have you try the demo for Traktor 3 yet?

"2 Pioneer CDJ-100S, 1 Pioneer DJM-400 mixer"
Use that with traktor scratch or serato :D
