I have a ton of leftover floppies which have loads old archived image & html files that I'd like to transfer to a HDD or DVD. I still have a PC, but it doesn't have a floppy drive so I need to check/extract/format before I throw them in the garbage. If I buy a standard USB Floppy, can I do this from the mac or should I stick with the pc?

Don't they have to be Mac formatted? Or am I thinking about Classic?

The last time I used a floppy on a Mac was in Classic.

I have successfully had a 24" aluminum iMac read a Windows 95 install floppy, so it should be good however it is formatted.

OP, the floppy disk died twelve years ago. You're a little late to the game transferring your data. :D;)

Just wanted to follow up that the Dynex USB Floppy is PnP and no software is needed to install. It works great, and thanks again for the help.
