Can Magic Mouse be used with Final Cut Express?

Hi, I'm considering getting a Magic Mouse. I've heard a lot about a program that can customize the Magic Mouses commands.

So I was wondering, can I set up the mouse so that if I write the letter "R" on the touch-pad, it will render video in final cut? Just asking.

MagicPrefs and BetterTouchTool won't allow character drawing, but you can assign a touch gesture to a command.

But wouldn't hitting the R key be ten times faster than drawing an R on a mouse?
