That is, do you think it is possible and probable that an upcoming MBA revision can be 20% slimmer (or absolute difference of 0.075 in), 28% lighter (absolute difference of 0.44 lbs), and a 29% reduction in width (absolute difference of 0.71 in) due to a thinner bezel without a compensation in a drop in battery life?

A revised 13" MBA that is:
  • 20% slimmer than the current model would be 0.02-0.14 in thick (or 0.04-0.6 in by absolute difference)
  • 28% lighter would be 2.13 lbs (or 2.52 lbs by absolute difference)
  • 29% reduction in width would be 9.09 in (or 12.1 in by absolute difference)

They can but I don't know if they need to hit the same margins as the iPad air though. My prediction for the next MBA would be a retina screen with the same battery life as the 2013 models. Then in 2015 they would introduce higher specs, lighter materials, and even more battery life.
