Other Can metal damage iPhone

i own an iPhone Xs max and will be getting my iPhone Xr on Friday and I have seen a metal desk I’m thinking of buying and was wondering if I placed my iphones on the metal desk could this damage the internals? I worry the metal could mess up my phones and or my computer.

Yes. I have one. And belive it or not nothing happens. U can even put a pencil and papers on it. Unbelievable
